Well, hello!

I'm Riley, and I'm so glad you found me!

As a lifelong artist and maker, I've dabbled in a wide range of creative pursuits. When I discovered surface pattern design, however, I knew I had found it - my maker heart's calling. A place where all my random, collected artistic skills could rest, come together, and flourish.

I felt that sweet, warm feeling of coming home.

Pulling inspiration from just about everywhere, my unique eye for pattern creation usually means fun, playful surprises nestled in my work. Everyone enjoys the process of discovery and delight, and with my attention to detail and curious creativity, that is exactly what you will find here. I hope it inspires you to see it everywhere else, too.

xoxo,

Riley B

If you were to meet me in person, I'm way casual. I'd likely meet you for coffee somewhere, hair thrown up in a ponytail, infant in tow, wearing yoga pants. I'd ask you to "dress comfortably" and suggest sweatpants, buy our coffees (and probably a couple pastries), and ask you to secure a table large enough for the car seat and diaper bag too. ('Cause at the end of the day, I'm a Mom, and that's the best job I've ever had!) My personality is just as chill as it sounds though, and I enjoy the deeper conversations that comfortable, one-on-one chats afford. Meeting new people and learning all about them is a blast; I love it! There is such beautiful diversity in this world!
I have two sons - obviously, one in diapers - and the most wonderful husband in the world. He supports every hair-brained creative idea I have, and puts his money where his mouth is. We hail from Florida - normally - but because we live and travel in an RV most of the year, I could be anywhere, anytime... like a ninja. So reach out, 'cause if I'm in your area, you can bet I'll be asking you to coffee!

That's the "fluffy" stuff. Let's get real.

Q: What inspires your designs?

A: Anything God made. Truly. I draw so much inspiration from nature - especially its quirks - and the sweet lives that God has decided to bless me with: my husband and my kids.

Q: Why salt? Why grace?

A: Good one. It's a reminder to myself of who and how I should be. Matthew 5:13 says that I am to be the "salt of the earth" - to bring goodness, integrity, kindness and so much more to the world around me. And I am to extend grace, since I am a recipient of grace (Eph. 2:8-9), loving people like Jesus loves His church.

Q: Tell me something interesting.

A: Luna moths never stop eating when they're in their caterpillar stage, which is about 3 weeks long. When they transform into the gorgeous green moths with a wingspan of 4.5" at max, however, they don't have mouths and never eat again.
Isn't that interesting? And like, really sad? I'd miss food.

Let's be friends...

You're in!
